The dog rescue centre Melampo is located in Spain, more precisely in the hills of San Roque in Andalusia. Melampo is managed by the Swiss Verena Palma. She is supported by a Spanish team of helpers. All helpers work voluntarily and sacrifice their spare time for the dogs of Melampo.
Melampo takes care of abandoned, neglected and stray dogs. All dogs in need of help find a new home at Melampo Station.
In August 2005, the Melampo Switzerland association was founded. With a lot of heart and commitment over the years a serious, solution-oriented and manageable community has developed, which has been able to move a lot. The aim and purpose is to support the Protectora Melampo in Spain.
Besides the mediation in Spain, we also try to find good places in Switzerland for the selected dogs from San Roque, so that in the camp in Spain there will be free capacities for further suffering animals. The home is always fully occupied.
Like all from the animal protection, we work honorary - each franc benefits the dogs.
