The more a Lagotto is matted, the shorter he should be groomed. If you shear your Lagotto regularly, you can shear its fur longer.

Recommended length of clipper blade:

Lagottos can be shorn completely, but many owners prefer longer fur on their dog's head. In such a case, I recommend shortening it by hand or using a longer clipper head.

Recommended scissors:

Paws, head, etc.: curved scissors or straight scissors 13-18 cm

For knots: thinners, 28–40 teeth
